Community Builders is a collection of 95 fun & engaging activities that build classroom community. These are my go-to classroom community builders. I use them on day one and throughout the year.
Each classroom-tested and student-approved activity includes clear detailed instructions, as well as ideas for adapting it to your classroom. There are also links to free downloadable handouts.

All 95 activities are divided into 6 categories:
1. Name Games are activities to help everyone learn names.
2. Getting to Know You Activities break the ice and bond.
3. GTKY Teacher activities help students learn more about you.
4. Needs Evaluation activities help you learn about your students’ goals.
5. Practice and Assess activities start students off working with some of the basics of language so you can assess where they stand. Nothing builds rapport and community better than working on a task together.
6. Set the Tone activities help teach students the rules of the classroom and your expectations.
